I figured that this would be the perfect time to put up a list of Fashion Staples considering back to school shopping is happening right now! It's just the basics for your wardrobe that can open up a whole new slew of outfits. Enjoy!

1.  Medium-Dark denim jeans: make any outfit less juvenile, and add a touch of class
2.  Ballet flats: a must-have shoe for any wardrobe
3.  Black heels: again, can't go without this pump
4.  White T: universal color that goes with anything
5.  Black T: ^^
6.  Button down top: necessary for job interviews, and outfits that require a more 'serious' feel 
7.  Little black dress: for obvious purposes
8.  Sweet daytime dress: perfect to throw on when you don't feel like getting out of your pj's
9. Neutral color cardigan: especially helpful come autumn
10. Diamond studs: easy earrings with a simple, classic touch

Back To School Shopping List

Let's be honest, my everyone's favorite part of going back to school is, well, the shopping. But what's on the Back to School Shopping List this year? I'll help you out a bit with a few of my essentials for 2012. 

1. Patterned Pants- pair them with a simple top, a few accessories and BAM! you've got a statement. 

    2. Peplum Top- goes with anything; skirts, jeans, you name it. It's a simple piece that makes an outfit. 

   3. Light Colored Leather Jackets- It's new and revised, no longer does a motorcycle jacket conjure images of bikers. 

   4. Anything Cheetah Print- So cute and been around forever, just pair simple accessories with a bland outfit and it's automatically 

Five Things

This is my first Five Things post that I'll do every so often, maybe every month or so. *Leave a comment below saying how often you'd like to see these!* It's just where I'll share my top five favorite things I've been loving recently. Enjoy!

1. Ahh, the slow approach of fall. Who doesn't love autumn? The leaves are changing, the air is crisper, school starts back up, cozier clothes, layering. It's such an underrated season. I can just feel it creeping closer everyday. I think school might be helping it edge on as well.

2. DIY anything! Lately I've been a pinterest addict with crafts. From jewellery holders to nail art. The next task on my to do list is this gorgeous cup!

3. I've been really trying lately to use up my summery candle scents while I can. Even though I love these candles, I just can't wait for the warmer and cozier smells that come with fall.

How To: Find Your Face Shape

Ever wonder why your hair just doesn't really "fit" your face? That's probably because you aren't getting the right cut for your face shape. I know it can all be kind of overwhelming or confusing so here are a few ways to figure out what, exactly, the shape of your face is. 

1. Stand in front of the mirror taking a lipstick or window marker and just trace your face. Now step away. What shape does it most resemble? (This is the easiest method)

2. Again, stand in front of the mirror. This time, wrap your hair up into a towel so all you see are the outlines of your face. This way your view is simplified and it's easier to determine the shape with all of your hair pulled away.

There are so many options when it comes to what you carry all your school supplies in. So what does your bag say about you?

Backpack

This choice says you're a no-nonsense kinda gal. You're all about simplicity and not trying too hard. Even though this is one of the most popular choices for people, you can express your style by picking out a unique one because, let's face it--who wants to be just like everyone else?

A purse is a choice of those who love to be fashion-forward and unique. This bag gives off the vibes that you're smart and organized. You have high standards for yourself and try to achieve the best of everything in High School whether it's captain of the volleyball team, chief editor of the school newspaper or class president. You're prepared to anything and everything while looking as put together and chic as possible. 

Back To School: Beauty

Now as we all know school is right around the corner, whether we're ready or not. And, with school, comes waking up incredibly early in the mornings. No one wants to mess with layering on make-up or taking hours to do their hair, so this look are a go-to kinda deal for those dreaded early hours of the day.

No-drama 'do & Pretty and Polished combo

Simply pull all your hair up into a sock bun and leave a few wispy pieces out to frame your face. It gives volume to your tresses and looks effortlessly chic. 

Use your finger to dab a champagne shadow on the inner lid and tear-ducts. Cover your lips with a sheer raspberry stain and a clear gloss on top.
